Easy and Convenient. You can get on or off at any stop or just ride it back to where you began. We got off and had lunch and toured the city and hoped back on for another ride. As you are riding there is a recorded navigator telling you about the city and the buildings. The boats have a small bathroom on board. The boats are kept very clean. There are 3 boat lines you can ride... Red, Blue and Green. Try to ride each one because each line takes you to view a different part of the city. Bring your camera because this is a beautiful city.

We bought the 48hr HOHO canal pass with 4 separate routes. What a great way of seeing the canals.
The Centraal Station stop is the busiest, so we had walked over to the station by a Church not too far away. We ended up sailing on 3 of the 4 routes. Some boats are older and less comfortable than the newer ones, but if you are not in a rush and dont mind waiting for a comfier boat, then that would be OK. The open air boats were the best. The boats got busy after 500PM, as passengers wanted to sail back to where they needed to go. There are different companies and different options. We chose this to be used as a mode of transportation while in Amsterdam.

    • “Fantastic way to see Amsterdam...on a Hop On Hop Off Canal Bus”

Loved seeing Amsterdam from these marvelous canal boats. You see parts of Amsterdam that you couldn't see on foot...even the harbor. My group and I truly enjoyed cruising through 4 lines of canals. The price is definitely worth it. I highly recommend doing this when you get to the city then decide where you would like to tour on foot. And...when you do tour on foot, please watch out for the thousands of bicyclists. Believe me, you could get run over. YOU WILL BE SO GLAD YOU TOOK THE CANAL BUS. Relax, take photos and accumulate memories.
